Early Georg Jensen Tea and Coffee Service 33
Very early and rare Georg Jensen silver tea and coffee service, design #33 by Georg Jensen from circa 1912. Ornate and early Art Nouveau with signs of the arts and crafts period, this four piece service has signs of months if not years of craftsmanship. There is likely more hours in chasing on this service than the hand hammering which is all hand done. The pots have a slightly hammered very organic shape, The handles resembles floral columns attached to architectural beams that have a very Nordic or viking feel. There is a slight piece of ivory wedged between the top and bottom of the tea and coffee pot to act as an heat insulator.
