- Hallmarks: Period 1938 Hallmarks, P. Hertz, along with a Danish three-tower stamp marked ’38’ for the year 1938. The piece bears hallmarks in three different locations. Notably, there is an engraving on the back lower edge of the base that adds significance to the clock. The engraving reads, “Tak for gammelstrand 28 og godt samarbejde,” which translates to “Thanks for Gammelstrand 28 (a building) and great cooperation.” This clock holds special historical value as it was presented to Albert Oppenheim, the architect of the building Gammelstrand 28.
