Complete Georg Jensen Parallel Silverware Service
A Boxed Georg Jensen sterling silverware service in the Parallel pattern, 12 settings of 6 pieces. The Parallel pattern, flatware design #25 was designed by Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen from 1931. The Parallel design has an exceptional dignity, the result of harmonious proportions combined with an apparent simple motif of parallel lines. There are alternative shapes for the dining forks and dining spoons. Style A fork set is longer and a more traditional design, Style B and C are more rounded and shorter. Style A spoon is the traditional shape spoon, design B spoon has the bowl turned 180 degrees, so the end is more rounded and the “shoulders” are narrower.
