Antique Mogens Ballin Danish Cup

Antique silver Danish cup decorated with an African scene showing a giraffe, a lion and a cabochon set “sun”, designed and produced by Mogens Ballin. Mogens Ballin was an artist and silver smith in Copenhagen, Ballin employed Georg Jensen from 1901-1903 and is thought to have encouraged Georg Jensen to start his own workshop.
Dimensions: Measures 3 1/2″ (9cm) in height. Gross weight including the stone 2.8oz (80g).
