A Vintage Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Lidded Bowl 43 by Johan Rohde

A Georg Jensen sterling silver covered bowl, design #43 by Johan Rohde. A stemmed lidded bowl that sits on a circular foot. The curved lid has a naturalistic finial. The bowl is perched on spiral rods that are surrounded by silver balls. The base of the stem has a simple bud-like ornamentation. A wonderful functional piece for holding candy or biscuits. This design was one of Rohde’s first designs during his collaboration with Georg Jensen until 1935.
