A. Michelsen Sterling Silver Kay Fisker Pitcher

A vintage sterling silver pitcher designed by Kay Fisker in 1935, and produced by A. Michelsen, Copenhagen. There are two sizes of this pitcher, this is the large size. This design was a forerunner of the Mid-Century Danish design movement and an inspiration for many designs that followed.

• Dimensions: Measures 10 1/2″ (26.5cm) in height. This pitcher holds holds circa 50fl.oz (1.5 liters).
• Hallmarks: Marked underneath “A. Michelsen KAY FISKER Sterling Denmark”. The A. Michelsen hallmark is topped with a crown, denoting them as purveyors to the Royal Danish Court. Marked also with date code I9 for 1959.
