Rope/Perle
Georg Jensen designed the Rope pattern in 1916. Surprisingly simple, a plain handle with a rope edge. The Danish name for this pattern is “Perle”. This pattern was discontinued by the 1950s.
Art Deco, short for Arts Décoratifs, is an artistic design period that flourished between 1920 and 1939. The style was inspired by Constructivism, Cubism, Modernism, Bauhaus, Art Nouveau and Futurism. Art Deco pieces are characterized by bold colors, geometric shapes, and decadent details. The style carries an emphasis on elegance and function, without using historical references.
