Pyramid/Pyramide
The Pyramid pattern was designed in the wake of the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb by Howard Carter in 1922. The many wondrous finds in the untouched tomb set off a wave of Egyptomania.
Art Deco, short for Arts Décoratifs, is an artistic design period that flourished between 1920 and 1939. The style was inspired by Constructivism, Cubism, Modernism, Bauhaus, Art Nouveau and Futurism. Art Deco pieces are characterized by bold colors, geometric shapes, and decadent details. The style carries an emphasis on elegance and function, without using historical references.
