Mayan/Rune

Introduced in 1937, the Mayan pattern by Johan Rohde is one of the rarer Jensen patterns. Rohde has clearly been influenced by the Art Deco design movement. Called Mayan in “English” and “Rune” in Danish, the geometric pattern could equally be interpreted as influenced by native South American art as Viking art.
