Caravel
Henning Koppel’s Caravel design from 1957, was named after the French made “Caravelle” jet airliners of the time. This pattern is as sleek and smooth as that early jet plane, it won several awards, including the prestigious “Der Goldene Löffel” (The Golden Spoon) in 1963.
Art Deco, short for Arts Décoratifs, is an artistic design period that flourished between 1920 and 1939. The style was inspired by Constructivism, Cubism, Modernism, Bauhaus, Art Nouveau and Futurism. Art Deco pieces are characterized by bold colors, geometric shapes, and decadent details. The style carries an emphasis on elegance and function, without using historical references.
