Designed in 1940, Bittersweet is closely related to Albertus’ earlier Cactus design. Probably due to the wartime occupation of Denmark (1940-1945), then the post-war advent of Mid-Century design, Bittersweet was only produced in very limited numbers, making this one of the rarest Jensen patterns. The Danish name for this pattern is “Pinje”.
