Beaded/Kugle
The Beaded pattern was designed in 1916 by Georg Jensen. Unusual for an Art Nouveau design, Beaded is simple and timelessly elegant, the only decorative elements are the hammered surface and the beaded edge. The Danish name for this pattern is “Kugle”.
Art Deco, short for Arts Décoratifs, is an artistic design period that flourished between 1920 and 1939. The style was inspired by Constructivism, Cubism, Modernism, Bauhaus, Art Nouveau and Futurism. Art Deco pieces are characterized by bold colors, geometric shapes, and decadent details. The style carries an emphasis on elegance and function, without using historical references.
