Henry Pilstrup
1890 - 1967
Pilstrup was the first apprentice in the Georg Jensen workshop when it opened in Bredgade in 1904. He turned out to be very talented and soon Pilstrup became the foreman and director of Georg Jensen silversmith as well as designing for the company. He ended up working for Georg Jensen for 50 years.
During his time at Georg Jensen he designed several pieces of gold jewellery.
His first major design for a necklace was bought by Design Museum Denmark in 1909 and was awarded the most beautiful piece of jewellery that year.
